Graduate Yousef Al-Hawas, a graduate of the College of Sharia at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, graduated with highest honors (5/5) and pursued a Master's degree in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) with the same GPA. This academic journey reflects his scholarly excellence and deep understanding of Islamic law.
During his university studies, the institution not only built his academic foundation but also honed his professional and analytical skills, developing his research abilities and expertise in legal and Sharia drafting. This enabled him to confidently enter the financial and banking sector.
Al-Hawas distinguished himself as a Sharia and legal consultant specializing in financing agreements and contract drafting in both Arabic and English. He is well-versed in Loan Market Association (LMA) agreements and excels in developing Sharia-compliant frameworks for Islamic banking products and drafting contracts that meet Sharia requirements and commercial needs.
He began his career at the Sharia Committee Secretariat of Alinma Bank, then worked as a Sharia and legal consultant and product development manager in the corporate banking group, before assuming his current position as Director of Sharia Advisory at HSBC. In a model that reflects the university’s impact on preparing national talents that are scientifically and technically qualified, and enabling its graduates to compete and excel in sectors locally and internationally.
