Introduction
All praise is due to Allah, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished. Peace and blessings be upon His servant and Messenger, sent as a mercy to all mankind, and upon his family and companions.
Civilizations are measured by the depth of their roots in history and the enduring impact they have had throughout time. The greatness of men is measured by the values and achievements they leave behind, which serve as a model for those who come after them. King Abdulaziz – may Allah have mercy on him – achieved a civilizational leap forward through the state he built and established, and through the unity he forged under the banner of Islam, continuing the path upon which the Saudi state was founded in its first and second phases.
King Abdulaziz was born in Riyadh on the nineteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah in the year 1293 AH (1876 AD). He was raised in a righteous manner by his father, Imam Abdul Rahman, and was educated in the manners of Islam and absorbed the traditions of the Al Saud family, whose rule was based on supporting the faith and applying Islamic law. God Almighty bestowed upon him piety, intelligence, acumen, wisdom, determination, decisiveness, foresight, and complete knowledge of the history of nations, their conditions, and their transformations, which helped him achieve many successes, most notably the unification of the country and the establishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, based on the correct faith and sound methodology, and the consolidation and spread of security and stability throughout its regions.
